"Due to the slump in sales, operating profits decreased by 86%, to 2.5 billion yen."
Notes
1.
Teimei 低迷 refers to "sluggishness", or "slow growth". The verb form of the word, teimei suru 低迷する, means "to be in a slump", "to be sluggish":
Chuugoku o nozoku Ajia kakkoku / chiiki ga shinkoku na yushutsu teimei ni kurushinde iru.
中国を除くアジア各国・地域が深刻な輸出低迷に苦しんでいる。
"With the exception of China, all of the countries in the Asian region are suffering from a serious slump in exports."
Kabushiki sooba no teimei de tooshi shuunyuu ga ochikonda hoka, tooshi ginkoo bumon no shooken gyoomu no shuueki mo fushin desu.
株式相場の低迷で投資収益が落ち込んだほか、投資銀行部門では証券業務の収益も不振です。
"Investment income is down due to the slump in stock prices. In addition, income from bond operations in the investment bank division are also depressed."

Eigyoo営業has a slightly different meaning in English depending on the particular context. By itself, eigyoo営業 translates into "business" , "operations", or "commercial endeavor". In most cases, however, you will encounter eigyoo 営業 as part of a compound word, as in the examples below:
eigyoo hooshin営業方針 = "business policy; company policy"
Eigyoo hooshin o tsukuru ni atari, hooristu no mondai mo kooryo shimashita.
営業方針を作るに当たり、法律の問題も考慮しました。
"Before creating the business policy, they also took legal questions into consideration."
eigyoo jikan 営業時間 = "business hours; store hours"
Hokkaidoo no shiten de wa gozen kuji sanjippun kara gogo rokuji sanjippun made ga eigyoo jikan desu.
北海道の支店では午前９時３０分から午後6時３０分までが営業時間です。
"The business hours of the Hokkaido branch office are from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.."
eigyoo jisseki 営業実績 = "financial results; business results"
会計年度を暦年に変更した今年度の営業実績は、2000年の実績を多少下回る見込みだが、2002年に1億ユーロの営業実績を達成するという目標に変更はない。
"We anticipate that our results for this accounting year, which was changed to the calendar year, will be slightly less than our results in 2000. However, we are not altering our target of achieving business results of one hundred million Euros in 2002."
eigyoo nendo 営業年度 = "business year; fiscal year"
Toosha no eigyoo nendo wa mainen gogatsu tsuitachi kara yokunen shigatsu sanjuunichi made desu.
当社の営業年度は、毎年５月１日から翌年４月３０日までです。
"Our company's fiscal year begins each year on May 1st, and lasts until April 30th of the following year."
Eigyoo katsudoo 営業活動 = "sales activity; business promotion activity"
Nichijoo no eigyoo katsudoo to heikoo shinagara, juchuu kettei made no purosesu o jissen ni sokushite gakushuu shimasu.
日常の営業活動と並行しながら、受注決定までのプロセスを実践に即して学習します。
"We study the process leading to the purchase decision, along with practical experience in the day-to-day business activities."
Note: Most dictionaries translate the English word "sales" as hanbai 販売, and "sales department " as hanbai-bu 販売部, or hanbai-ka 販売課. As is often the case in English, though, corporate jargon is highly specialized.
Although hanbai 販売is used and understood to mean "sales", most large Japanese companies refer to the functional area of "sales" as eigyoo営業, and refer to the "sales department" as eigyoo-bu 営業部, or eigyoo-ka 営業課. (This is almost universally true for business-to-business operations. Retail firms may use hanbai more frequently.)
